Sixth grade students had the opportunity to attend the Mind Trekkers event at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College on 

Mind Trekkers is a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) festival hosted by Michigan Tech that allows students to explore STEM classes, careers, and theories through hands-on activity and experimentation in a variety of fields and businesses.

The high-energy, hands-on, STEM festival allowed Michigan Tech students & NWTC staff, to show students firsthand the awe and power of science through experimentation.

Students from Aldo Leopold Community School, Dr. Rosa Minoka-Hill School, Edison Middle School, Franklin Middle School, John Dewey Academy of Learning, Lombardi Middle School, Red Smith School, and Washington Middle School attended event.
